The Austro-Bavaria region is called Bavara de Garmischi-Partenkirchen, and is one that has the most German ski resorts, as it is an area that meshes with Austria. The most famous ski resort in Germany is that of Zugspitze, which is in an area where snow is guaranteed all year long, except for in summer. It is a skiier's paradise, and there are ski slopes for all levels of skiiers.
The ski resort in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the largest in Germany, and also the most important. It is located at about 2 hours outside of Munich.
